It is amazing how "the eye" has evolved and fused into many other Mediterranean cultures and beliefs. Growing up Greek, "the eye" held a lot of power and we hung it in our homes and wore it as jewelry. I still wear it on my person to this day and hang amulets in my home office (more for cultural tradition than personal beliefs).
Kara & Jordan- To me, I'll be thinking of this sentence for some time this week: "Egyptians stand round in a broken line, thinking more of the cats than of quenching the burning." What a powerful image. Hope you guys are well this week. Cheers, -Thalia
